Mission Statement
The National Guard of South Carolina Auxiliary was formed to “Serve Those Who Serve.” The Auxiliary educates and supports the goals and objectives of the National Guard Association. We foster relations between Guard personnel with their families, employers and the community.
We plan and execute activities at the annual conference, award educational scholarships and publish the Guard Companion newsletter.
About Us
The National Guard Association of South Carolina Auxiliary is a volunteer group of family members that promotes friendship, fellowship and a host of fun activities which include:
- Our yearly conference meeting which hallows all of the Auxiliary members to be involved in selecting Board members as well as learning about the decisions the Board has made over the past year. This meeting also allows a time for fun and fellowship with the diverse entertainment we have enjoyed over the years.
- The Guard Companion Newsletter that allows the Board Members, Committee Chairpersons and Auxiliary members the opportunity to share information, become informed about happenings around the state and with our Soldiers. In efforts to be eco-friendly we prefer to email your quarterly newsletter but will gladly mail it to your home if your prefer.
- College Scholarships up to $1500 are awarded to three or more Auxiliary members or family members in good standing.
- The Silent Auction is our main source of income for the Auxiliary. Every year before conference we accept donations of many different kinds to raise money for Auxiliary Scholarships and Projects.
